Toronto FC will host English Premier League powerhouse Manchester City in a friendly on May 27.

The match comes just three days after the conclusion of the current Premier League season.

Led by Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Vincent Kompany and England's starting goalkeeper Joe Hart, Man City is fourth in the Premier League, one point behind rival Manchester United.

Man City has won four First Division or Premier League titles, most recently in the 2013-14 season.

"Hosting a club like Manchester City is a great opportunity for our players to compete against one of the biggest clubs in the world," Toronto GM Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement.

Tickets went on sale to season-ticket holders on Wednesday. They go on sale to the general public on April 16.
