Veteran Canadian midfielder Julian de Guzman signs with NASL’s Ottawa Fury

The Ottawa Fury of the North American Soccer League have signed Canadian International midfielder Julian de Guzman.

Most recently the former Toronto FC designated player had been on trial with the Columbus Crew of MLS. The 34-year-old from Toronto spent the 2013-14 season with Skoda Xanthi in the Greek Superleague.

De Guzman, who has won 76 caps for Canada, is part of the Canadian team set to play Guatemala in a Florida friendly Friday.

Ottawa Fury FC open the 2015 NASL season in Carolina on April 4 against the RailHawks.
