Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited (CBN), announces the appointment of Craig Bascombe as Chief Executive Officer following the passing of Ron Arends in October 2021.

Since joining the Company in 1994, Mr. Bascombe has worked in a variety of executive positions, most recently as Chief Financial Officer and President of the Company’s lottery division.

“I am convinced Craig is the right person for the CEO position and will give him my full support. I’ve known and worked with Craig for over 30 years and know CBN will prosper under his leadership,” said Doug Arends, Chairman and owner of CBN.

“It is an honour to lead the CBN team into our 125th year of service since our founding in 1897, and we thank Ron and Doug Arends for their leadership in laying such a strong foundation for continued success,” said Mr. Bascombe. “We will continue to make the world a safer place and support community betterment projects for citizens across the globe by providing our partners with the most secure, technologically-advanced identification and lottery solutions available.”

Mr. Bascombe brings strong entrepreneurial, technical, and relationship skills to CBN that will help the organization continue to build on its strong global reputation and partnerships. He has been instrumental expanding the Company’s lottery division highlighted by the recent acquisition of BUMP Worldwide Inc., which led to CBN becoming one of the largest charitable gaming solution providers in North America. CBN is currently conducting 50/50 draws in all four North American professional sports leagues and successfully performed the 50/50 draw for the 2022 Super Bowl.
