Deborah Gillis to President & CEO, CAMH Foundation
Tom Milroy, Board Chair, CAMH Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Gillis as President & CEO. Ms. Gillis’ unique blend of passion, strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit will enable her to lead CAMH Foundation in transforming how Canadians understand and address mental illness.
As a recognized thought leader on gender equality, diversity and inclusion, she has dedicated her career to driving social change. In her previous role as President & CEO of Catalyst, a global non-profit, she was at the forefront of accelerating and advancing opportunities for women in business around the world.
In 2016, she was named one of Canadian Business magazine’s 10 Most Powerful Business People and also received the Foreign Policy Association Medal. In 2017, she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws honoris causa from Cape Breton University for her work advocating for women’s rights and equality. Ms. Gillis serves on the Board of Governors of St. Francis Xavier University.
