Frédéric Perron, President, Cogeco ConnexionSUPPLIED
Philippe Jetté, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Inc. and Cogeco Communications Inc., is pleased to announce the nomination of Frédéric Perron as President of Cogeco Connexion, effective September 1, 2020.
Mr. Perron has over two decades of international management experience at companies such as T-Mobile, Vodafone, Rogers, and Capital One. In his last role at T-Mobile Poland, Mr. Perron was Chief Commercial Officer leading a team of 3,000 employees serving over 7 million customers and brought T-Mobile’s residential segment back to growth in terms of profits and customer satisfaction, and transitioned the company from mobile-only to fully convergent including home fibre access and TV solutions. Earlier in his career, he was Senior Vice President at Rogers Communications, where he worked in the Cable and Wireless segments, and oversaw different businesses in Canada and in Europe for Vodafone and Capital One.
Mr. Perron holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and a Master’s in Management from Queen’s University.
Cogeco Connexion regroups the Canadian cable operations of Cogeco Communications Inc. and is the second largest cable operator in Ontario and Québec in terms of the number of basic cable service customers served. It provides its residential and small business customers with Internet, video and telephony services. Cogeco Communications Inc.'s subordinate voting shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: CCA).
