Stephen Erlichman, The Chair, The Middlefield GroupSUPPLIED

Dean Orrico, CEO of Middlefield, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Erlichman as Chair, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

Steve is considered one of the foremost experts on governance and ESG in Canada. From 2011 to 2018, Steve was the Executive Director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG) where he created and debated public policy positions in relation to ESG issues and led engagement meetings between CCGG and boards of public companies across Canada. Steve also sits on the board of Canada’s Responsible Investment Association (RIA), which Middlefield joined ear-lier this year and is a member of the Global Stewardship Committee of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).

Steve has practiced corporate and securities law throughout his career at major law firms in New York and Toronto. In addition to his law degrees from University of Toronto (LLB) and New York University (LLM) and business degree from Harvard University (MBA), Steve holds the Responsible Investment Professional Certification (RIPC) issued by the RIA and the certificate in Sustainable Capitalism & ESG issued by UC Berkeley Law.
