The e-commerce boom and shift to remote work seen during the COVID-19 pandemic have rapidly accelerated digital transformation across sectors and increased the attention paid by business leaders to several emerging technologies, including cloud computing. On December 8, The Globe and Mail hosted a group of experts for its Cloud Computing: How is business strategy changing? webcast, which examined the use of the cloud within the Canadian business community and explored new trends, risks, and opportunities for organizations in several different industries.

The Globe and Mail’s Adrian Lee, a Content Editor for the Opinion section, led this live conversation among an expert panel of speakers, which included Jeff Martin, Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer for Canadian Banking and Corporate Technology at TD Bank; Braden Harrison, the National Cloud, Apps, Data and AI Practice Leader for Kyndryl Canada; Michael Ma, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB); and Kristina McElheran, an Assistant Professor of Strategy in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto and the Rotman School of Management.
