New vehicle sales in Canada are on track for another record setting year fueled by low interest rates and generous incentives from automakers. SUVs and crossovers are setting sales growth records with unit sales in the category up 11 per cent in the first nine months of 2015 as compared to the same period last year, while unit sales across all new vehicle categories are up 2.5 per cent.
SUVs and crossovers are becoming the preferred choice for families who want more size and versatility than a sedan, but refuse to sacrifice style and be relegated to a minivan. Notably, unit sales of the most famous minivan – the Dodge Grand Caravan – are down nearly 16 per cent year to date as of September.
Every auto maker wants their piece of the SUV and crossover market. As such, there are plenty of deals in this segment as you will see in this listing of current incentives for the bestselling SUVs and crossovers in Canada.
Here are our favourite family friendly vehicle deals for less than $30,000 before taxes:
2015 Honda CR-V
Cash purchasers can take advantage of a $1,500 manufacturer incentive on the 2015 CR-V this month. Record low finance rates of 0.99 per cent for up to 60 months are also available. Loyal customers who have financed or leased a Honda previously are even entitled to an additional 1 per cent rate reduction, if financing or leasing again, which can result in a zero per cent finance rate for up to 60 months. We have heard inventory is in short supply as 2016 models have already arrived so act fast.

2016 Nissan Rogue
Cash purchasers can now take advantage of a $2,000 manufacturer incentive on the 2016 Nissan Rogue – the first cash rebate on the model this year. Finance and lease rates are at least 1 per cent lower than they were in September on various terms, allowing customers to finance the vehicle at 0.99 per cent for up to 60 months or lease it at 1.99 per cent for 48 months.

If financing or leasing, you are now entitled to a $500 incentive for the first time this year, along with improved rates as low as zero per cent financing for up to 84 months or 0.9 per cent leasing for up to 48 months.

Loyal customers who have purchased a Mazda vehicle before are entitled to an additional $500 rebate or a 1 per cent rate reduction if financing or leasing.
