Monday, Nov. 3

China tentatively scheduled to release manufacturing PMI. The non-manufacturing PMI and HSBC manufacturing PMI is also due out.

Euro area releases manufacturing PMI.

(930 a.m. ET) RBC Manufacturing PMI.

(945 a.m ET) U.S. Market manufacturing PMI.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. manufacturing ISM. Consensus is for 56.4.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. construction spending for September, forecast to rise 0.7 per cent.

U.S. and Canadian auto sales for October tentatively scheduled.

(1235 p.m. ET) Bank of Canada Governor Poloz speaks to the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships in Toronto, with a press conference scheduled for 2 p.m. (ET).

Euro area releases producer price index.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada merchandise trade balance. Consensus is for a deficit of $700-million.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. trade deficit. It's expected to come in at $40-billion.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. factory orders for September. Consensus expects a drop of 0.5 per cent.

(1030 a.m. ET) Bank of Canada Governor Poloz and Senio Deputy Governor Wilkins appear before the House Finance Committee.

U.S. Midterm elections.

Euro area releases October retail PMI while Germany reveals September factory orders, forecast to decline 1.1 per cent from a year earlier.

EU finance ministers meet

(830 a.m. ET) Canada building permits for September. It's forecast to rise 3.0 per cent.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. initial jobless claims for last week. It's expected to decline 4,000 to 283,000.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. to releases productivity and unit labour costs.

China scheduled to release its trade deficit for September.

Germany releases industrial production for September, forecast to decline 0.6 per cent from a year ago. It will also reveal the September trade surplus. France will release industrial and manufacturing production numbers and its trade deficit.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada releases the October jobs report. Consensus is for a contraction of 7,500 jobs after a surprise gain of 74,100 jobs in September. The unemployment rate is expected to be unchanged at 6.8 per cent.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. nonfarm payrolls report for October. Consensus is for 240,000 net new jobs, with the jobless rate holding steady at 5.9 per cent.

(1015 a.m ET) Fed Chair Janet Yellen speaks on "Policy since the onset of the financial crisis" in Paris.
