The Action: Late last fall, there were numerous Leslieville homes on the market, but this detached house still managed to attract 80 potential buyers for private visits and another 200 during two open houses. Eight suitors returned with offers.

The Agent's Take: "If you were a couple blocks east of [Greenwood Avenue], that seems to be the sweet spot where people want to be," agent Linda Ing-Gilbert says.

"There's Greenwood Park [nearby] with a covered ice rink and dog park, and there are a lot more shops around Queen, Chino Locos and a couple cool coffee shops that have opened there."

This home's style was its calling card. "It's a smaller detached [home], but it was completely renovated so you could just move in, and it has a foursquare design with four rooms on each floor, which is very traditional and sought after," Ms. Ing-Gilbert adds.

"[The sellers] put in all these perennials, so the garden looked spectacular. It was additional living space."
