The buy: Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club Great Exuma, Bahamas (at right) is offering three- and seven-day unlimited golf packages (with or without clubs) beginning at $299 (U.S.) a person for three days and $449 for seven days.

The savings: If you played one round a day, you would save at least $226 on the three-day package and $776 on the seven-day package.

The catch: You have to book for travel by Aug. 1, and accommodation, meals and airfare are not included.

Why it's worth it: The par-72, 7,001-yard Greg Norman-designed Championship Course has reshaped and edged bunkers and gone through major landscaping improvements to produce pristine conditions for resort guests. The packages also include complimentary cart rental.

The catch: Rates are based on double occupancy with a three-night minimum stay. You must book by May 31 for travel by Sept. 2.

Why it's worth it: Receive an hourlong private golf lesson and spa treatments. Also included are greens fees, meals and drinks.

The buy: JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz., is offering a Just Bring Your Swing package, starting at $279 (U.S.) a night for two.

The savings: Summer rates are 75 per cent off high-season fees.

The catch: There are a limited number of rooms available. Golf club and shoe rental must be reserved prior to arrival.

Why it's worth it: Because this package includes unlimited club and shoe rental, you can avoid airline baggage fees. It also includes a course yardage guide and unlimited golf for two.

The buy: Predator Ridge in B.C.'s Okanagan Valley has a Tee for Two package, starting at $179.50 a person, double occupancy.

The savings: About $70 compared with booking accommodation and golf separately.

The catch: Offer valid Sundays through Wednesdays and you must stay by June 22.

Why it's worth it: The package includes one night accommodation, breakfast and one round of golf a person.
