Prince Edward Island's majority progressive Conservatives won a by-election held yesterday to replace one of the provincial government's senior cabinet ministers.
Olive Crane defeated Liberal John Cameron in the riding of Morell-Fortune Bay. New Democratic candidate J'Nan Brown was a distant third.
The results had both the Liberals and Tories asserting they had made political progress. CP
