Finnish Prime Minister Paavo Lipponen apologized yesterday on Finland's behalf for the extradition of eight Jewish refugees to Germany in 1942.
Finnish police handed over the eight Jews to the German Gestapo on Dec. 6, 1942. One year later, the eight were moved to the Auschwitz death camp. Only one survived the war. AFP
