With a focus on demutualization, building profitable growth and improving productivity, Karen Gavan, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D, president and CEO of Economical Insurance, is pleased to announce the following appointment. This change helps streamline and simplify Economical's leadership and decision-making structure and enhance the efficiency of the company's operations.
Pamela Derksen, BA, FCIP, succeeds Dianna Fioravanti as vice-president, commercial insurance, reporting directly to the president and CEO. Formerly the division vice-president, Western General, Pamela now has leadership accountability for Economical's commercial insurance portfolio. With 18 years experience in P&C insurance, she is leading the implementation of the company's commercial insurance strategy. Pamela is also responsible for Western General, Economical's agri-business insurance division. She joined Economical in 2005.
