The action: On a short street between Norseman Heights Park and a hydro corridor in the Queensway community, this 11/2-storey residence opened its doors to 15 buyers granted private showings and several more open house guests. On the day offers were reviewed, one came in about $20,000 shy of the $749,900 list price.

What they got: The previous owners of this more than 40-year-old residence spruced up existing spaces and created new ones so it now has two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a modern eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, pot lights and California shutters.

For causal and formal gatherings, there is an open living and dining area with hardwood floors and a sunroom with a walkout to a deck, private south-facing yard and shed. Plus, there is a carpeted recreation room in the basement.

Outside, there is an attached garage and private driveway on the 50-by-148-foot lot.

The agent’s take: “It was really beautifully renovated and nicely done with a great kitchen and beautiful bathrooms,” says agent JoAnne Gludish. “And they had taken out a large closet upstairs between the two bedrooms and installed a bathroom, which is a huge selling feature in those storey-and-a half [homes].”
