In the neighbourhood near Victoria Park and Finch Avenues, properties don't often sell for more than the asking price, agent Bill Thom says.

To make that happen for this raised bungalow, it was priced at $455,000 to tempt a large number of buyers to submit a bid for it in a short amount of time.

"This one is definitely a good house," says Mr. Thom, who received a trio of offers. "It's in immaculate condition."

Built in the early 1970s, this three-bedroom house was given new roofing, siding, thermal windows and a six-car driveway to the double garage within the last few years.

Major changes inside include two remodelled bathrooms, broadloom in the basement and a revamped kitchen with granite counters, tile floors and a skylight.

Hardwood floors and moulded ceilings appear in areas such as the living and dining areas.

Heading downstairs, there is an office and bedroom with his and her closets, as well as games and recreation rooms. The former has a dry bar and the latter has a wood burning fireplace. Wainscoting adorns the walls in both rooms.

"The windows in the lower level are all above grade," Mr. Thom adds. "It makes it brighter."

Fencing surrounds the outdoor living space, which consists of a 330-square-foot flagstone patio and landscaped backyard overlooking school grounds next to Pinto Park.

"It's not close to the school area where kids during recess would play," Mr. Thom says. "In the summertime, it's as good as a park."
