LISTING AGENT Heather Lemieux, Royal LePage Connect Realty
The Action: In an established subdivision by the Scarborough waterfront, this semi-detached, brick house rounded up four offers in a matter of days.
What They Got: Facing a quiet, treed street just north of Lake Ontario is this 14-year-old house with a built-in garage and private drive on a 31-by-79-foot lot.
The sellers modernized the interiors with hardwood floors in the open great room and granite counters and stainless steel appliances in an eat-in kitchen, which also features sliding doors to a new patio in the fenced backyard.
Secondary entertaining areas include a lower level den and recreation room with laminate floors, while privacy is provided in two upper bedrooms and a master suite encompassing a walk-in closet and one of three bathrooms.
The Agent’s Take: “It’s a great neighbourhood – Centennial-West Rouge – and it’s the only neighbourhood in the whole city of Toronto that’s surrounded on three sides by water and has no high-rises,” says agent Heather Lemieux.
“It’s great for a first-time buyer being so close to the GO [train station] and now with the Lakeshore line running every half hour even on the off hours … you can be downtown in half an hour.”
What enamoured buyers about this home was its well-maintained state. “It was a very cute home,” Ms. Lemieux notes. “The master had a walk-in closet and an ensuite, which you don’t get in a lot of times in a semi.”
