The action

An open house was scheduled for this three-storey townhouse in November, but buyers who waited for the weekend event were left disappointed. A preemptive offer was presented and approved on Friday afternoon.

“The buyer was very motivated to live on the street and loved the house, so they put in an offer the sellers felt comfortable accepting,” agent Elli Davis said.

“The accessibility to Yonge Street and subway enhanced the appeal as well.”

What they got

Less than a five-minute walk from Summerhill station, the site of a former bakery was redeveloped in the 1980s to accommodate townhouses, such as this three-bedroom unit on a 15-foot-by-100-foot lot.

Inside is more than 2,300 square feet of living space and another 644 square feet in the basement, which has direct access to a rear garage.

Private outside spaces include a rooftop deck and terraces off the main- and second-level entertaining areas. Both of those spaces are anchored by fireplaces and the latter also partly illuminated by four skylights two storeys above.

The agent’s take

“This was one of the largest plans of what were called the Bakery townhouses,” Ms. Davis said. “And the owners had done very nice upgrades to it.”
