$9.40, down 95 cents Rex Diamond Mining Corp. shares fell 9 per cent after the company said independent laboratory results show no indication of diamonds at an anomaly on its property in Mauritania. Rex shares touched a low of $8.25 yesterday. Last year, the stock soared more than 10-fold on optimism about a possible diamond deposit in the northwestern African nation. Rex, based in Antwerp, Belgium, said results from two grab samples from one anomaly on its Mauritanian property, tested by Lakefield Research Laboratories in Ontario, "disproved any kimberlite affinity." Kimberlite is the most common host rock of diamonds.
