Another senior executive has departed from the commercial aerospace division of Bombardier Inc., amid a restructuring of the division.

Phillippe Poutissou, vice-president of marketing, has left the company and will be replaced by Ross Mitchell, who had been regional vice-president of sales for Europe. Mr. Mitchell has been appointed vice-president of business acquisition, Bombardier spokesman Marc Duchesne said Tuesday.

Mr. Poutissou's departure follows that of Guy Hachey, president of Bombardier Commercial Aerospace, who left last month when Bombardier chief executive Pierre Beaudoin announced the restructuring, which involves the elimination of 1,800 jobs at the division.

The restructuring also involved splitting the division into three separate units.

"We decided to reorganize the company into three different business units because we think that we can become more agile, flexible and make sure that we have a lighter structure," Mr. Beaudoin said on a conference call with analysts and reporters last month when the company announced second-quarter financial results.

The Montreal-based transportation giant has been plagued by delays in developing its new C Series commercial jet and delivering it to customers. The plane is scheduled to be delivered during the second half of 2015.
