Boutique advisory firm Blair Franklin Capital Partners is adding a senior banker with deep ties to the consumer and industrials sectors, hiring former TD Securities and Scotia Capital banker Greg Rudka.

Mr. Rudka will give the firm more firepower when advising clients in businesses such as retail and agriculture. He ran diversified industries at TD, but left last year in a shuffle. Prior to that, he was head of consumer products at Scotia Capital, before being hired away by TD in 2007.

At Blair Franklin, he will be a partner in the mergers and acquisitions and advisory business.

Mr. Rudka has been in the banking business for almost two decades. Before Scotia and TD, he worked Salomon Brothers in New York and Toronto, Blair Franklin said in an announcement. His areas of focus have included the retail, consumer products, industrial and agribusiness sectors.
