The list of energy analyst job openings at Calgary investment dealers got shorter on Friday.
Dale Lewko, who was senior associate at Barclays Capital, has joined Peters & Co. Ltd. as small- and mid-cap exploration and production analyst, a source familiar with the move said.
The position was vacated by Adam Twa earlier this year.
Other dealers are in still the throes of hiring processes for energy research analysts following some high-profile departures.
CIBC World Markets is interviewing candidates to replace senior energy analyst Andrew Potter, who has joined Cenovus Energy Inc., and Raymond James is looking for a pair of analysts after Justin Bouchard and Kristopher Zack went over to Desjardins Securities Inc. last month.
