Orioles list of GM candidates at six and counting

The Baltimore Orioles have compiled a list of six candidates to succeed Andy MacPhail as the team's next general manager, according to ESPN.com.

Two of the names are San Diego Padres vice president of baseball operations Josh Byrnes, who was formerly the Arizona Diamondbacks GM, and ex-Houston Astros GM Gerry Hunsicker, who is currently the Tampa Bay Rays' senior vice president of baseball operations, ESPN.com, citing sources.

The others are former Toronto Blue Jays GM J.P Ricciardi, Texas Rangers assistant GM Thad Levine, Blue Jays assistant GM Tony LaCava and Florida Marlins assistant GM Dan Jennings.
