It was certainly an unlikely ending to the Toronto Raptors' seven-game losing streak, a 96-90 win last night over the Minnesota Timberwolves in a heated affair.

Chris Bosh poured in a season-high 24 points and added 14 rebounds for the Raptors (8-16) in a chippy National Basketball Association game that saw Matt Bonner, of all people, ejected for a flagrant foul on reigning MVP Kevin Garnett.

Garnett finished with 23 points and 15 boards for Minnesota (14-8).

With 5 minutes 24 seconds left in the game, Toronto leading 86-79 and looking as if it were en route to a well-deserved win, Bonner hit Garnett hard from behind, sending the Timberwolves' forward sprawling to the floor. Latrell Sprewell and Garnett rushed at Bonner, and the referees were forced to hold the two 'Wolves back.

Bonner was ejected and the crowd of 16,888 at the Air Canada Centre chanted "Bonner, Bonner" as the Raptors' rookie left the game.
