The Montreal Expos raised their ticket prices, but still have the cheapest seats in the major leagues, the club announced yesterday while releasing its schedule for 2004. The first price hike since 2000 will see top-priced tickets rise from $35 to $40. Other tickets will range from $10 for bleacher seats to $30 for box seats. Children and seniors get $5 off. An Expos statement said that even with the increase, the team's average ticket price of $12.38 ($9.28 U.S.) is only 56 per cent of the price of the average ticket in major-league ballparks.

The 2004 schedule has the Expos playing 59 games at Olympic Stadium and 22 "home" games in Puerto Rico, the latter all before the all-star break.
