Quarterback Anthony Calvillo won't be ready to return from a bruised sternum when the Alouettes play host to the B.C. Lions next week.

Calvillo said after practice on Friday there was still pain in his chest from the injury he incurred when he was sacked during a win over Winnipeg last week.

He expects to miss a home game against the Lions on Sept. 3 but should be ready for a game Sept. 11 in Hamilton.
