PGA Tour Canada

PGA Tour Canada will stage three separate 72-hole qualifying tournament next spring for players interested in earning status for the 2014 season.

The Tour says a field of 132 players maximum will tee it up at sites in Southeastern and Southwestern United States in April as well as one site in Canada in May. The dates and locations of the qualifying sites will be announced at a later date.

The top 18 players at each qualifying event will earn exempt status for the 2014 season while everyone finishing in the top 40 plus ties will earn conditional status.

PGA Tour Canada recently concluded its inaugural season which featured nine tournaments and saw Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas, Ont. finish atop the money list to claim one of five full-time Web.com Tour cards for 2014. The Tour has already announced two new events for next year, the Thunder Bay Golf Classic and the Forces and Families Open in Ottawa.
