The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that forward Joffrey Lupul will be out of the lineup for an three to four weeks with a separated shoulder.

Winger Colby Armstrong is listed as day-to-day with a broken nose. Both players were injured during the second period of Tuesday's loss to the Boston Bruins.

The Leafs also announced that forward Carter Ashton has joined the team on an emergency basis from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Ashton, 20, was a first-round draft choice (29th overall) of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2009 Entry Draft and was obtained on trade deadline day from the Lightning in exchange for Keith Aulie.
