Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn will have a disciplinary hearing with the league on Saturday regarding the cross check he put on Edmonton's Ryan Jones on Thursday, TSN reported.

According to CBC, it will be a fine hearing, which means Benn could be fined $5,000 or more.

The incident occurred in the third period, with the Oilers leading 5-1. Benn was given a major for cross checking and a game misconduct.

Earlier, Jones had bumped Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen while skating to the net.

Benn has six goals and eight assists in 16 games this season.
