Canada's Mikael Kingsbury wins dual moguls bronze at World Cup event THE CANADIAN PRESS
ARE, Sweden — Mikael Kingsbury wasn't the least bit disappointed with his worst finish of the dual moguls World Cup season.
The Deux-Montagnes, Que., native held off American Bradley Wilson to win bronze Saturday, the latest podium finish in what has become a career season.
"I'm pretty happy. It was a long day and I was pretty tired so it is a good way to end with the podium," said Kingsbury.
Kingsbury has already locked up the overall title and crystal globe with one event left. He has dominated the sport with eight gold, three silver and now one bronze medal.
American Patrick Deneen won gold after beating teammate Jeremy Cota in the final. In the women's event, Olympic champion Hannah Kearney of the U.S. won her second World Cup race in two days to beat Nikola Sudova of the Czech Republic.
Kingsbury said he is looking forward to a rest in the off-season, but will want to go out on a high note.
"I'm just having fun out there and pushing," he said. "I know that there's only one race left.
"I have a podium on every event so I want to try to go all the way ... it's just an amazing season."
