Dean McDermott has admitted that having sex with Tori Spelling "wasn't fantastic."
In a new clip from the feuding couple's reality series True Tori that is going viral, the Toronto-born McDermott dishes intimate details of the couple's sex life in a therapy session.
"We would have sex once every two weeks," says the 47-year-old McDermott in the clip. "It wasn't fantastic."
Launched earlier this week on the U.S. cable outlet Lifetime, and simulcast here on Lifetime Canada, True Tori documents the couple's attempt to repair their foundering marriage through a series of sessions with a professional marital therapist.
In the same clip, Spelling, 40, the only daughter of late TV kingpin Aaron Spelling, reveals that she had a different perspective on their bedroom relations.
"We had a great relationship and a great sex life," says Spelling.
Best known for her role as Donna Martin on the original Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990 to 2000), Spelling met McDermott while shooting the TV movie Mind Over Murder in Ottawa back in 2005.
The couple married the following year and have four children together, ranging in age from 18 months to seven years old.
The tension between Spelling and McDermott is ratcheted up even higher when he opens up about his much-publicized affair with a 28-year-old woman while shooting the reality cooking-competition series Chopped: Canada in Toronto last year.
"I wasn't attracted to her," says McDermott in the advance clip. "It was just like a warm body."
McDermott checked into rehab last December after details of his extra-marital dalliance went public.
"I can never give him enough sex," says a tearful Spelling. "He's never going to be happy with just me."
Spelling is also shown speaking to the camera after an intense therapy session and admits that she's unsure the couple has a future together.
"I know he's my soulmate, I know he's the love of my life," says the visibly distraught Spelling in the second-episode teaser. "I also know he broke my heart."
All of which begs the question: Can a semifamous celebrity couple possibly rescue their marriage by airing their dirty laundry on a cable reality program?
