This white comes from a family estate in a southern French appellation called Côtes de Thongue. You've likely not heard of the place. Most people haven't, which may help explain why the wine represents excellent value. Light-medium-bodied, it smacks of peachy-orange fruit, musky spice and flowers, with a fleshy texture owing, no doubt, to the viognier in this smart blend. Perfect as an aperitif and versatile with fish or chicken. Available in Ontario.
