He won a Grey Cup title with Toronto in 2012 before signing with Saskatchewan as a free agent in 2013.

The 32-year-old native of Courtice, Ont., helped the Riders capture a CFL championship that season.

On Monday, Foley issued a passionate thank-you to Riders fans via Twitter account.

Foley began his CFL career with B.C. and won his first Grey Cup title in '06 with the Lions before joining the Argos as a free agent in 2010.
