Money is being spent at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, including significant amounts for distribution rights. Monday morning, Los Angeles-based Millennium Entertainment announced it had paid $3-million (U.S.) for U.S. rights to Fading Gigolo, directed, written and starring John Turturro, with Woody Allen and Sharon Stone as co-stars. The film had a well-received world premiere Saturday evening.

Also earning good money in the last 48 hours have been Can a Song Save Your Life?, which went to The Weinstein Company for $7-million, and Bad Words, helmed by Jason Bateman, whose world-wide rights went to Focus Features, also for $7-million.
