Movie producer Steve Bing has agreed to pay £100,000 a year, or $248,600, to support the son he fathered with actress Elizabeth Hurley, according to a statement released on his behalf yesterday.

The statement said Bing was making the "generous provision" -- a total of £1.8 million, or $4.5-million -- to support Damian Charles Hurley until the child is 18.

The financial plan was agreed to in a court order issued by London's High Court yesterday.

"Mr. Bing is delighted that the matter has been concluded and that he is able to honour his pledge to make generous provision for his son," the statement said.

When Hurley announced she was pregnant in November, 2001, she said Bing was the father. Bing questioned his involvement, saying he was not in an "exclusive" relationship with her, but DNA tests showed that Damian, born April 4, is his son. AP
