Canada’s Calfrac Well Services on Friday named industry veteran Pat Powell as its chief executive officer, handing him the role that George Armoyan was holding on an interim basis since December.

Powell, who was elected as a director of Calfrac on May 3, has more than 40 years of operational and executive experience in the Canadian oilfield service industry, including prior roles as chairman and president of Producers Oilfield Inc.
