Westshore Terminals Investment Corp. (WTE-T) reported third-quarter revenue of $66.6-million down from $86-million a year ago, according to documents filed on Sedar.com. The expectation was for revenue to come in at $70.6-million in the latest quarter.

Profit of $15-million or 24 cents per share compared to a profit of $28.6-million or 45 cents a year ago.

Badger Infrastructure Solutions Ltd. (BDGI-T) reported revenue of $163.5-million in the third quarter, up from $136.2-million in the third quarter of 2021.

Net earnings of $14.5-million or 42 cents per share compared to earnings of $9.8-million or 28 cents per share a year ago.

Dorel Industries Inc. (DII-A-T; DII-B-T) reported third-quarter revenue was US$374.1-million, down from US$437.2-million last year.  The expectation was for revenue to come in at US$434.5-million in the latest quarter, according to S&P Capital IQ.

Its net loss from continuing operations was US$36.7-million or US$1.13 per share, compared to a loss of US$68-million or US$2.09 per share last year.

Sprott Inc. (SII-T) reported net income was $3.1-million or 12 cents per share in the third quarter, down from $5.6-million or 23 cents per share a year ago.

The company said its results were negatively impacted currency translation losses and the settlement of a legacy legal claim. “Our earnings were also impacted by net market value depreciation of our co-investments and digital gold strategies on a year-to-date basis,” the company stated.

Assets under management (AUM) sat at $21-billion as of Sept. 30, down 4 per cent from June 30, and up 3 per cent from Dec. 31. “Our AUM was negatively impacted on both a three and nine months ended basis by market value depreciation across our fund products,” the company stated.

Western Forest Products Inc. (WEF-T) reported third-quarter revenue of $356-million up from $352.9-million a year ago. The result was ahead of expectations of $271.7-million.

Net income of $6.6-million or 2 cents per share compared to net income of $42.2-million or 12 cents per share a year earlier.

Interfor Corp. (IFP-T) reported third-quarter sales of $1.04-billion up from $664.3-million a year ago. the expectation was for revenue to come in at $874.4-million, according to S&P Capital IQ.

Net earnings of $3.5-million or 6 cents per share compared to $65.6-million or $1.05 per share a year ago. Adjusted EPS came in at 58 cents per share versus 74 cents a year ago.

Resolute Forest Products Inc. (RFP-T) reported sales of $974-million in the third quarter, up from $817-million a year ago. The expectation was for sales of $950-million, according to S&P Capital IQ.

Net income of $87-million or $1.11 per share compared to net income of $80-million or 99 cents a year ago.

Cascades Inc. (CAS-T) announced the permanent shutdown of the corrugator at its Belleville facility. It said the shutdown is part of “continuing optimization initiatives” at its containerboard packaging platform in Ontario.

It said the shutdown will provide the facility with a more sustainable business model “by focusing its operations on converting activities as a high volume, efficient and graphic sheet plant.”

Black Diamond Group Ltd. (BDI-T) hiked its dividend by 33 per cent to 8 cents annually from 6 cents, paid quarterly.

The company also reported total revenue of $95.9-million down from $109.8-million a year ago. the expectation was for revenue to come in at $78.5-million.

Profit of $9-million or 15 cents per share compared to a profit of $5.7-million or 10 cents a year ago. The expectation was for profit of 8 cents per share.

Logistec Corp. (LGT-A-T; LGT-B-T) reported revenue totalled $284.2-million, up 20 per cent compared to $236.2-million a year ago.

Profit for the period was $31.8-million versus a profit of $26.8-million a year ago.

Jamieson Wellness Inc. (JWEL-T) reported third-quarter revenue of $138.9-million up from $112.4-million a year ago. The expectation was for revenue of $142.8-million.

Net earnings were $10.9-million compared with $14.3-million in the third quarter of 2021.

The company also said it’s “narrowing its outlook” for fiscal 2022 and anticipates revenue in the range of $550-million to $560-million, which represents annual growth of 6 to 8 per cent in the base business. The estimate was for $558.1-million, according to S&P Capital IQ.

Uni Select Inc. (UNS-T) reported third-quarter sales of $452.7-million, up from $426.1-million a year ago. The expectation was for revenue of $454.9-million in the latest quarter, according to S&P Capital IQ.

Net earnings of $22.4 million or 45 cents per share, which was in line with expectations and compared to earnings of $11.9-million or 25 cents a year ago.

Ensign Energy Service Inc. (ESI-T) reported third-quarter revenue of $432.6-million, up from $268.6-million a year ago. The expectation was for revenue of $438.3-million.

Net income of $17.8-million or 11 cents per share compared to a loss of $34.4-million or 21 cents a year ago.

Tucows Inc. (TC-T) reported third-quarter revenue of US$78.1-million up from US$75.9-million a year ago.

Its net loss of US$8-million or 74 cents US per share compared to a profit of $1.4-million or 13 cents a year ago. It said the loss was due to the “accelerated build of our Ting Internet Services fibre network and ramp up of operations, higher interest expenses and higher depreciation.”
