Kontoor Brands (KTB) Reports Q4: Everything You Need To Know Ahead Of Earnings

Clothing company Kontoor Brands (NYSE:KTB) will be announcing earnings results tomorrow before market open. Here's what to look for.

Last quarter Kontoor Brands reported revenues of $654.5 million, up 7.9% year on year, beating analyst revenue expectations by 2.2%. It was a weaker quarter for the company, with a miss of analysts' earnings estimates and underwhelming earnings guidance for the full year.

This quarter analysts are expecting Kontoor Brands's revenue to decline 0.8% year on year to $725.9 million, a deceleration on the 7.4% year-over-year increase in revenue the company had recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.37 per share.

Majority of analysts covering the company have reconfirmed their estimates over the last thirty days, suggesting they are expecting the business to stay the course heading into the earnings. The company missed Wall St's revenue estimates four times over the last two years.

Looking at Kontoor Brands's peers in the apparel, accessories and luxury goods segment, some of them have already reported Q4 earnings results, giving us a hint of what we can expect. Ralph Lauren delivered top-line growth of 5.6% year on year, beating analyst estimates by 3.4% and Hanesbrands reported revenue decline of 12% year on year, missing analyst estimates by 5%. Ralph Lauren traded up 6.7% on the results, and Hanesbrands was down 4.5%.
