The question

My eyes are uneven shapes. Should I try to balance them by making them up differently or would that make me look deranged?

The answer

Unless you plan on using pink and yellow glitter to even them out, rest assured that you won't look deranged using makeup as a cheat. I suggest using a neutral palette of colours (taupe, soft greys and browns) when trying to even out your eye shape and also investing in a great eye-shadow primer. The primer will make sure that the work you put into creating a balanced shape stays put. Also, keep in mind that mascara and liner go a long way in balancing out the eyes.

Often, applying some good liquid liner, curling your lashes and applying two coats of mascara is all you need to do to create the illusion of balance.
