Our winter take on the Brandy Alexander substitutes spiced eggnog for traditional cream.

Ingredients

1.5 ounces brandy

1 ounce dark creme de cacao

1 ounce eggnog

nutmeg, freshly grated

Method

Fill a cocktail glass with ice and allow it to chill the glass as you’re making the drink. Into a cocktail shaker, measure and add 1.5 ounces of brandy, 1 ounce of dark crème de cacao, and 1 ounce of eggnog. Fill the shaker full of ice and shakie vigorously to help chill the cocktail and contribute to the aeration to give the drink its frothy texture. Close the shaker, creating a tight seal, hold both ends of the shaker and give it a hard shake.

Discard the ice that has been chilling the glass and strain the cocktail into the glass. Grate nutmeg over the cocktail.
