When I have my foodie friends over for dinner, this is the kind of dinner I like to make: simple yet sophisticated with interesting textures and flavours. Although I love sauces, lately I have been playing with pestos and vinaigrettes. Lamb in particular works beautifully with pesto; the meat is sweet, and the pesto adds a little heat.
