A blend of sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and syrah, three strange bedfellows that do compellingly well in Tuscany, this full, rich beauty is very ripe, with luscious texture that carries dark fruits, dark chocolate, spice and aromatic oak, wrapped in smooth, supple tannins. It should improve with a decade or more. Imported into Ontario in preciously small quantities, this is available in a handful of stores but worth seeking out.
