IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Your birth sign is associated with clear thinking and common sense but the planets indicate that you will be guided more by your heart over the coming 12 months. Nothing wrong with that, so long as your head always gets the final word.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

The more your rivals criticize you today the more determined you will be to prove them wrong. There is no reason at all why you should change your routines or methods – on the contrary, keep doing what you are doing, only more so!

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

There may be disagreement with a colleague about the best way to proceed over the next 24 hours but don’t take it too seriously because you are still basically on the same page. Everyone seems a bit touchy at the moment, so make allowances.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

Compromise solutions seem hard to come by of late but while you are right not to back down from your position you could try to see things from opposing viewpoints once in a while. Failing that, avoid people who rub you the wrong way.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

You cannot stand by while some sort of injustice is occurring. Do what you can to remedy the situation but don’t take it all on your own shoulders. You may be in the right but it helps if you have might on your side too. You need powerful allies.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

The changes you make today, at home as well as at work, won’t easily be changed back later, so think before you act and if there is any doubt at all maybe refrain from making changes at all. There’s a lot to be said for inaction!

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

The sun in your sign adds a dash of fearlessness to your nature but you would be wise not to take on people who are bigger and better connected than you. Do you really need to make a big issue out of a minor disagreement? Probably not.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Cosmic activity in the most sensitive area of your chart urges you to steer clear of people and events that depress you. What you need most at the moment is to be part of an environment that is cheerful and uplifting. Where might you find it?

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

You must – repeat, must – stand up for yourself and make sure everyone knows you are not going to be their dogsbody or doormat. You don’t have to be a tough guy about it but you do have to show you can bite as well as bark.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

If you find yourself up against forces that are clearly way out of your league then you must back off. If you get all stroppy about it and try to take the fight to them there can be only one winner, and it won’t be you! Know your limits.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

This is potentially a fun time for you, especially if you are on the move and meeting people. Don’t worry too much about your work, and don’t tie yourself down to a heavy schedule – just follow your instincts and let life come to you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Just because you would never take advantage of someone in need does not mean that kind of person does not exist and the planets warn you could meet one of them today. Don’t be fooled by their lies –and don’t let others be fooled either.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

If someone tries to stand in your way today just shove them aside and continue with your journey. You don’t have time for fools and still less time for those who think it’s fun to cause avoidable problems, so get tough and get the job done.
