A little-known fact: Grape stompers have amazingly soft feet. But you don't have to climb into a barrel, à la I Love Lucy, to get those supple toes, now that the newly renovated 100 Fountain Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., is offering "purple-feet pedicures."

The revamped spa in the Pillar and Post Inn features new decor, changes rooms and a soothing lounge area (among other things). It has also added five treatment rooms, each sponsored by a local vineyard, where spa-goers can indulge in dozens of treatments. It follows, then, that purple-feet pedicures ($90) use a maple-and-grape-skin scrub and wine-cream mask to provide in 90 minutes what grape-stomping yields in a lifetime. And there's a complimentary glass of Niagara wine to boot.
