A tourist walks in front of the Great Giza pyramids on the outskirts of Cairo.MOHAMED ABD EL GHANY

Arab Spring has meant fewer tourists in the region - and that's led to a drop in vacation costs.

Tour East Holidays is selling its first two-for-one tour to Egypt which includes five-star hotels throughout, return economy airfare with Air Canada from Toronto and a five-star Nile River cruise for $3,999 for two people, plus $500 a person in taxes and fees.

On the itinerary are: Memphis, Egypt's first capital; the great pyramids of Giza; Cairo's Citadel, which dates to 1183; Old Cairo, its churches and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, which dates to the ninth century; the great temples along the Nile such as Kom Ombo and Edfu; Aswan and Luxor and their treasures; and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

The tour runs from Sept. 20 to 28. For more information, visit toureast.com or call 877-578-8888.
