The buy: Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello in Quebec expects to open its historic golf course during the first week of May with a golf package starting at $199 a night including golf for two.

The savings: Green fees can be as high as $82 a person so the accommodation portion of this package is as little as $35.

The catch: The package is available only Sunday to Thursday in May and Sundays only in June, July and August.

Why it's worth it: The relatively mild winter has left Fairmont Le Chateau Monte-bello's golf course, designed by Stanley Thompson, in excellent shape and primed for the start of the golf season.

Jays' spring fling

The buy: Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, the newest AAA Four Diamond beachfront resort on Florida's Gulf Coast, has a special rate for Toronto Blue Jay fans who are catching the team during spring training.

Go wild in Zambia

The catch: You have to travel before the end of March.

Why it's worth it: The safari includes all internal flights within Zambia, guided walks through the Luangwa Valley, a canoe ride down the Zambezi River and game drives in 4x4 vehicles.
