A former camera operator who shot a gun outside the television station that fired him after 31 years on the job received a conditional sentence Monday.
Dennis Schneider, 52, was sentenced to two years less a day. He will serve his time in the community.
Last Aug. 7, a few days after he was fired, Mr. Schneider arrived at CKCK TV and fired a shotgun through the locked front door. He then took a shot at the inside door, and turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the face.
No one else was hurt. CP
