The nurse involved in a medication error affecting 11 patients at a city-operated nursing home in Scarborough last week is no longer employed by the City of Toronto, officials said yesterday.

Sandra Pitters, general manager of the city's homes for the aged division, said that, because of privacy legislation, she could not say whether the nurse was dismissed or had resigned, but added "the nurse involved is devastated by the incident."
