A Roman Catholic priest who shoved an 11-year-old girl during a catechism class at a church in Richibucto, N.B., has been given a conditional discharge.
Rev. Raoul Leblanc pleaded guilty earlier to a summary count of assault and was sentenced yesterday by Judge Camille Vautour in Shediac.
Father Leblanc was placed on 12 months probation for the 2005 offence.
