Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. is shaking up the leadership of its London-based wealth management business.
David Esfandi steps in as chief executive officer of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in the U.K. He has a background in asset management and investment banking, and he previously worked for Ashcourt Rowan PLC.
Former CEO Neil Darke is leaving the company.
Canaccord has made several changes in its various U.K. businesses in recent years, such as restructuring brokerage operations. It's U.K. wealth business rebranded last year, doing away with the Collin Stewart Hawkpoint and Eden Financial names left over from the firms it acquired in recent years.
Mr. Darke led Collins Stewart Hawkpoint's wealth management business before it was acquired by Canaccord for $400-million in 2011, the firm's largest acquisition ever.
The company also said Wednesday that Stephen Massey, who founded Eden Financial, would take on the role of chairman of the Canaccord Genuity Wealth board in the UK.
Canaccord Genuity has wealth businesses in Canada, the U.S., Australia and Europe.
